How to Enrol in SAO Units
New students
Students wishing to commence Swinburne Astronomy Online (SAO) should first apply for admission into their chosen program or individual unit of study. Information about available study pathways, entry requirements, and how to apply is available on the SAO application page.
Swinburne enrolment help guides are available here.
Continuing students
Continuing SAO students should manage their enrolment through the Swinburne Dashboard.
Through the Dashboard, students can access important services including:
- accepting offers and managing enrolment;
- accessing Canvas and online learning materials;
- viewing unit results and academic information;
- checking fees and financial information;
- updating personal details; and
- accessing other student services.
Enrolment administration is managed by the Swinburne student services team, allowing SAO staff to focus on astronomy teaching, learning resources, and assessment.
Unit selection
The SAO units offered in each Study Period are listed on the SAO units page.
Unit enrolment is subject to availability and class size limits.
