Kinetic Energy

Kinetic energy is the energy of a body due to its mass and velocity. In Newtonian physics, the kinetic energy, KE of a mass, m with velocity, v is:

$  KE = {{1}\over{2}} mv^2^ $

The kinetic energy of a system of particles is the sum of all their independent kinetic energies.
