Welcome
I am working as a Postdoctoral Fellow with Jeremy Mould within the
"Centre for Astrophysics and Supercomputing (CAS)"
at the "Swinburne University of Technology" in Melbourne (Australia).
Before that, I was working within Andi Burkert's
group at the Max-Planck-Institute
for Extraterrestrial Physics in Garching and the University Observatory in Munich.
I am especially interested in the distribution and the dynamics of gas
and dust in nearby galactic nuclei.
To study this, we use hydrodynamic simulations with the help of the
PLUTO-code as well as the
RAMSES-code.
Subsequent radiative transfer modelling with
MC3D
and RADMC-3D
enables us to derive observable quantities like spectral energy distributions and
surface brightness distributions and visibility information, which can
be compared to observations.
Recently I have also become interested in the Galactic Centre of the Milky Way and high-redshift galaxy formation.

research pages,
