HH 30

This image of HH 30 shows the young star (hidden from view) surrounded by a thin dark disk, which extends about 430 AU from left to right in the image. The stellar light reflects off the upper anad lower disk surfaces, producing a pari of reddish nebulae divided by the dark dust lane. HH 30 emits a powerful gas jet, here shown in green.
