Venue

The 5th Australian Exoplanet Workshop will be hosted at the University of New South Wales Kensington campus which is located about 5km south of the Sydney CBD.

The workshop will be held in the Pioneer theatre in the AGSM building. The AGSM building is marked on the map below. The Pioneer theatre is the first theatre on the left from the main entrance (north entrance).

Airport:

Kensington campus is about a 7km drive from the domestic terminal at Sydney airport. A taxi from the airport will cost about $25. Alternatively, it is possible to take a train and bus to just outside Kensington campus in about 40 minutes for about $10.

Public transit:

Buses run to Anzac Parade at UNSW from the Central rail station, the CBD, the eastern beaches, western Sydney and southern Sydney. More details about buses and train including timetables and routes etc. are available on the Sydney buses website.

A quick summary of the relevant buses are:

Parking:

There is free street parking a short distance from the School of Physics (e.g. down Willis St, Willis Ln, Forsyth St, and Middle St) though the very closest street parks are only 1-2hr zones. There is plenty of parking available in UNSW e.g. in the parking building accessible off Barker st., at around $15/day. These "pay and display" parking areas are monitored and rules are strictly enforced.

Workshop Dinner:

There will be a (self-funded) conference dinner on Wednesday 9th December at 7pm at the Doncaster Hotel. The hotel is just 5 minutes walk from the UNSW campus; see map for directions.
