Building Planets with Dusty Gas

Sarah Maddison, Robin Humble & James Murray

We present animations from 6 simulations which show the effects that grain size has on the disk morphology of an initially prolate spheroid of rotating, self-gravitating dusty gas (with a star at the centre) that spins down to near-equilibrium. The simulations have 12.5K gas + 12.5K dust models of various grain sizes and are followed for approximately 104 years. The "high resolution" case for 1mm sized grains has 125K gas + 125 K dust particles. For full simulation parameters, see the Maddison, Humble & Murray paper.
