The Potential for Podcasting in Education

Abstract 

One of the more recent media formats to take the infotainment world by storm is podcasting. The question is - can we as educators take advantage of its popularity and use it to enhance student learning in formal education?

In this seminar, Dr. Lisa Germany will introduce teaching staff to podcasting and its potential for use in educational settings. Starting with what podcasting is and how it is currently used in education, this seminar will also outline the pros and cons we must consider before deciding to incorporate this new technology into our classes.

If you have ever heard of, or listened to a podcast and wondered about its potential in formal education, this seminar will help direct your thoughts.
