Simulation Parameters

Each simulation was run for 60 million years, unless all particles were destroyed earlier. A 1 solar mass star was used. Planets had orbital periods of 300 years, which corresponds to a semi-major axis of ~41 AU. The timestep used was 4 years. The maximum and minimum allowed heliocentric distances were 700 and 2 AU respectively. 500 particles were used in each simulation. Particles were not removed for suffering a close encounter with the planet.
