The IAU XXX General Assembly
Women in Astronomy Meeting Event

The IAU XXX General Assembly Women in Astronomy lunch meeting will be held on Wednesday 29 August in rooms L3 + L6 of the Austria Centre from 12.00pm until 1.30pm. All IAU delegates are invited.

Program

Dr Andreas Keil of the European Research Council will present how gender-related fairness in ERC evaluations is implemented and how effective it is, especially in terms of the evaluations outcome. Break-out groups and table discussions will focus on the current status of women in astronomy and will be an opportunity to network. Prof. Ewine van Dischoeck, IAU incoming President, will share her views and close the meeting.

There is no registration fee for the lunch - thanks to the generous support of the US National Academy of Science and the Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters - but registration is required for catering purposes.

More details about this event can be found in the WiA Lunch Meeting flyer.
