Prof. Warrick Couch
My principal research area is extragalactic astronomy and cosmology, with a particular focus on the role environment plays in the evolution of galaxies. This research involves major observational programs using the largest ground-based optical telescopes (Gemini, VLT) as well as space-based telescopes (HST, Chandra). I also have a strong interest in large-scale galaxy structure and clustering, and its use as a cosmological probe, having been a senior member of the 2dF Galaxy Redshift Survey team and a lead investigator on the AAOmega "WiggleZ" Dark Energy Project.
