My PhD project addresses one of the big questions in astronomy today, the effect of environment on galaxy evolution. It focuses on radio observations of neutral hydrogen (HI) in galaxies. ATNF facilities and overseas observatories will be utilized to make the observations of gas-rich spiral galaxies in different environments. I have started my studies with a blind HI survey of the nearby Ursa Major Cluster. I will combine the HI data with new SDSS data to determine the infall patterns, the dynamics of the cluster and its interaction with the Virgo Cluster.
