Associate Professor Darren Croton
I am a theorist who works on understanding the formation and evolution of galaxies in the local and high redshift Universe, using both simulations and large observational data sets. I am a member of a number of international teams, including DEEP2, AEGIS, WiggleZ, SEDS and CANDELS. I am especially interested in the development of semi-analytic models of galaxy formation embedded in cosmological simulations, supermassive black holes and quasars, galaxy environment, and galaxy clustering and large-scale voids.
