My research interests include Galactic structure, both large-scale (e.g., spiral arms and superbubbles) and small-scale (e.g., HI clouds). Using data from the Galactic All-Sky Survey (GASS), I search for faint, discrete clouds of neutral hydrogen in the lower halo, whose motions are dominated by Galactic rotation, to learn more about their properties and distribution. I also perform 3D hydrodynamical simulations of superbubbles to test the hypothesis that the observed clouds can form as a result of the evolution process of the superbubble.
