April 2004

  • Kirsty Rhook from the University of Melbourne became the first external user of the MIT LOFAR simulator in a series of visits to do work connected with the epoch of re-ionisation.

March 2004

  • Craig West completed his masters thesis: "Development of disk-based baseband recorders and software correlators for radio astronomy."
  • Shinji Horiuchi went on an extended visit to Peter Hall and John Bunton at the ATNF for discussions about his cost simulator.

February 2004

  • Ramesh Bhat from MIT visited the group for two weeks while he and Richard Ogley installed the MIT Haystack LOFAR simulator.
