November 2003
- First interferometer data is generated. A continuum source
sampled with 1 MHz bandwidth was recorded at 'Parkes' and
'Tidbinbila', with the correct geometric delays. A quick-and-dirty
cross-correlation showed a signal was detected!
October 2003
- Dr Shinji Horiuchi joins the group from JPL as a postdoc.
- First results from the VLBI recording system.
The methonol maser 345.010+1.79 was observed and data recorded on an
Apple XRaid disc system through our new VSIB & VSIC boards.
August 2003
- First fringes from the software correlator running under a
multi-processor environment on the supercomputer.

- The Australian SKA Simulation Working
Group met in Swinburne on 23 May 2003 to
coincide with a visit by the SKA International Project Director,
Richard Schilizzi.
April 2003
- Dr Richard Ogley joins the group from Keele University as a postdoc.
March 2003
- First stable fringes from the software correlator.
January 2003
- Dr Steven Tingay joins the Swinburne Centre for Astrophysics
and Supercomputing SKA Simulation and Radio Interferometry Group.
