Acknowledging online databases

Don't forget to acknowledge the online databases that you use in the References or Acknowledgements section of your essay or project. Most online databases have a small page describing how they should be referenced. For example, to acknowledge NED we might write:

This research has made use of the NASA/IPAC Extragalactic Database (NED) which is operated by the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, California Institute of Technology, under contract with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration.
