Course Outline
The structure of dual Master of Education/Graduate Certificate of Science (Astronomy) is as follows:
- Students enrol in the Master of Education degree at Northeastern University,
which is a 40 quarter hour degree.
- When ready to commence their astronomy specialisation, students also enrol in the
Graduate Certificate of Science (Astronomy) at Swinburne University.
- The dual degree Master of Education/Graduate Certificate of Science (Astronomy) has
the following structure:
- Two core courses (total 8 q.h.)
- Four required astronomy courses (total 16 q.h.)
- Two science electives (total 8 q.h.)
- Two open electives (total 8 q.h.)
- Students will complete Required Astronomy Courses online through Swinburne University. The
Core Courses, Science Electives, and Open Electives are completed through Northeastern University.
