Course Outline

    The structure of dual Master of Education/Graduate Certificate of Science (Astronomy) is as follows:
    • Students enrol in the Master of Education degree at Northeastern University, which is a 40 quarter hour degree.
    • When ready to commence their astronomy specialisation, students also enrol in the Graduate Certificate of Science (Astronomy) at Swinburne University.
    • The dual degree Master of Education/Graduate Certificate of Science (Astronomy) has the following structure:
      1. Two core courses (total 8 q.h.)
      2. Four required astronomy courses (total 16 q.h.)
      3. Two science electives (total 8 q.h.)
      4. Two open electives (total 8 q.h.)
    • Students will complete Required Astronomy Courses online through Swinburne University. The Core Courses, Science Electives, and Open Electives are completed through Northeastern University.
