Swinburne Astronomy Online Postgraduate Application Form


Welcome to the Swinburne Astronomy Online Enrolment System

Enrolments are now open for Semester 1, 2012. Semester dates run from 27 February to 19 May. We offer enrolments in Master of Science in Astronomy, Graduate Diploma of Science in Astronomy and Graduate Certificate of Science in Astronomy programs, as well as individual unit enrolments.

Places in SAO units are not confirmed until payment is received and cleared, and as some classes can fill early we suggest that you apply and pay as early as possible. Note that payments cannot be processed until you have been accepted into SAO: once accepted into a program, you will be contacted to arrange payment for the coming semester. Payment by Visa and Mastercard credit cards is preferred.

DUAL SEMESTER ENROLMENTS:
In line with wider University practise, SAO has moved to annual enrolments. This means that you will be required to select Semester 1 and 2 units when you enrol at the start of the year. Note that you will be able to alter your Semester 2 units prior to Semester 2 commencing. Semester 2 tuition fees will be due mid year.


Instructions for using the SAO Online Enrolment System

  • To use the Online Enrolment system, you must have both javascript and cookies enabled in your browser.

  • If you do not have javascript enabled or do not wish to enrol through the Online Enrolment system, you can download a paper application form here, complete and fax to.
  • The online application process consists of entering information in 3 steps or pages. After you have filled in all the required information in each step, you can click on the "Continue" button on the bottom of the page. If you have missed any important information, you will be asked to fill in the missing information and then continue. All "missing information" will be highlighted in red.
  • Note that all new SAO students are now required to provide proof of identity. For information about what ID is required and where to send your documents, please click here.
