Swinburne Astronomy Online Postgraduate Application Form


Welcome to the Swinburne Astronomy Online Application System

Applications are now open for Semester 2, 2020. Semester dates run from 31 August to 29 November. We offer enrolments in Master of Science in Astronomy, Graduate Diploma of Science in Astronomy and Graduate Certificate of Science in Astronomy programs, as well as individual unit enrolments.

Places in SAO units are not confirmed until payment is received and cleared, and as some classes can fill early we suggest that you apply and pay as early as possible. Note that payments cannot be processed until you have been accepted into SAO: once accepted into a program, you will be contacted to arrange payment for the coming semester. Payment by Visa and Mastercard credit cards is preferred.


NEW STUDENTS ONLY:
This Application Form must be used by new SAO students. Current or previous SAO students who are continuing their enrolment, should follow these instructions.

CURRENT STUDENTS CHANGING PROGRAM:
For students who have completed the Graduate Certificate of Science (Astronomy) or the Graduate Diploma of Science (Astronomy) and wish to continue on to either the Graduate Diploma of Science (Astronomy) or Master of Science (Astronomy) will need to apply using this application system. Please note that students applying on the basis of either the Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma of Science (Astronomy) are not required to submit additional documentation.

LATE ENROLLMENT FEE:
A non-refundable fee of $AU 200 will apply to all late enrolments. The Enrollment Period for the coming semester closes 1 week before the Payment Deadline (i.e. 1 week before 19 August, 2015) Any applications processed after this date will incur a $AU 200 late fee.

  • To use the Online Enrolment system, you must have both javascript and cookies enabled in your browser.

  • The online application process consists of entering information in 3 steps or pages. After you have filled in all the required information in each step, you can click on the "Continue" button on the bottom of the page. If you have missed any important information, you will be asked to fill in the missing information and then continue. All "missing information" will be highlighted in red.
  • Note that all new SAO students are now required to provide the following documents:
