Swinburne Astronomy Online AstroFest 2008
Unfortunately we have not managed to attract enough registrations of interest in the SAO AstroFest 2008 conference to meet our costs and overall obligations. Sarah and I have discussed this at length and we are left with only one conclusion.
With regret I am formally cancelling the AstroFest 2008 conference and I will be asking our Faculty finance officers to refund any conference registration and accommodation payments that you have made to Swinburne.
I do apologise if you have made plans to attend. Indeed many of us at SAO and CAS have done the same.
I do thank you for showing your interest in the SAO AstroFest and I hope that we will be able to hold something similar in the near future.
