NewsSecond AnnouncementDear Colleagues: The initial call for participation in The 5th Workshop on Galactic Chemodynamics (GCD-V), to be held 09-11 July 2003 in Melbourne Australia, has been wildly successful. GCD-V is being hosted by the Cosmology & Galaxy Formation Group of the Swinburne University Centre for Astrophysics & Supercomputing. The primary goal of GCD-V is to establish and maintain collaborative links throughout the galactic chemodynamics world; as such, participation is restricted to fewer than 30-40 invited particpants. A limited number of slots are available to other interested participants, so others who would like to attend should definitely feel free to contact Brad Gibson, Chair of the Organising Committee. Topics to be covered during GCD-V include the following:
Both Registrations and Abstract Submissions are now being accepted. Some important dates to add to your calendar managers are as follows:
The IAU General Assembly is being held in Sydney subsequent to GCD-V. Those interested in participating can obtain further information and instructions on how to register on the GA web page (http://www.astronomy2003.com/). We look forward to seeing you in Melbourne in 2003! Sincerely,
